Summer heat planning for inland home miners
Gunwi summers push sheds and garages into temperature ranges that punish dense hardware. A plan that works in April can throttle or fail in August if exhaust air has nowhere to go.
Measure the empty room first
Before installing fans on a frame, log afternoon temperatures in the candidate space for a few days. If the empty room already sits uncomfortably hot, adding mining load without airflow redesign is a false start.
Create a one-way path
Intake from a cooler side, exhaust away from living areas, and keep filters clean enough that fans do not strain. Avoid recirculating the same hot plume around the cards. In class we sketch airflow with arrows on printed floor plans — bring yours if you have a shed conversion in mind.
Know when to pause
